Darius McCrary is an actor, singer, musician, and producer known to most as Eddie Winslow from the hit comedy series “Family Matters.” In the world of MOJA, he is Sitano Ellis.
Before his breakthrough as part of the Family Matters cast, McCrary started his Hollywood career at 11 years old. Some of his early television and movie appearances include Big Shots (1987), Amen (1987), Hooperman (1987), What’s Happening Now! (1988), Mississippi Burning (1988), Kidz in the Wood (1995), Moesha (1996), and Don King: Only in America (1997). He received two nominations in a row for the Youngest Artist Award for his role in the crime thriller film Mississippi Burning, then three of the same nominations for Family Matters in the following three years, making it five in a row.

More recently, McCrary’s film credits include the Transformers reboot (2007) as the voice of Jazz, Optimus Prime’s right-hand man, the voice of Tarix in Bionicle: The Legend Reborn (2009), Next Day Air (2009), Steppin: The Movie (2009), Saw VI (2009), The perfect Gift (2011), He’s Mine Not Yours (2011), 24 Hour Love (2013), The Summoning (2015), and Christmas in Carolina (2020). He was also a cast member of the popular daytime drama The Young and the Restless from 2009-2011.
On top of his film and television career, McCrary also has always had a passion and talent for music. Growing up in a musical and religious family, he’s been surrounded by music for as long as he can remember. With JD McCrary (Billi) being Darius’s cousin, Linda McCrary being his aunt, and soul legend Chaka Khan also being his aunt, music is in his blood.
Darius voices both Sitano and his bodyguard in the saga, and we’re grateful to have had him play such a vital role in telling this important story.
